Mite ?-how long until they are gone

littleiggy Apr 11, 2006 07:46 PM

We have a young iguana. Recently we babysat a friends iguana that had mites(didnt know it until after it was gone). Our iguana is in a seperate room from where the mites were, but we would like to move him into that room. Just to be safe, we treated our iguana for mites, and havent seen any on him. What do I need to do to the room to make sure there arent any mites left there before we move ours in? Its a bedroom, has carpet and the bed is nearby. I know that mite hatching time depends on temps, but if we wait 2 weeks, is that long enough for everything to have completed its cycle? Would a month be better?
