Het Albino Clutch layed today...

JDouglas Apr 11, 2006 09:08 PM

We bred one of our albino males to a big 5 1/2 pound normal female. Finally on day 30 after pre-lay shed she dropped 8 huge eggs. I got home from class at 4 PM and she had laid three eggs with a few more to come. I was amazed by the size of these eggs compared to my IJ eggs. I had a meeting to attend and when I got back at 8:30 Jared had already rounded them up and put them in the incubator. Here they are...

The pvc in the pic is 2 1/2 inches wide so that gives you an idea of the size of these eggs. This clutch weighed in at 845 grams so each egg is about 106 grams.

Here is the father of this clutch...

and here he is with the mother of this clutch...

Thanks,

Jaremy
