Anyone's female eastern kings off feed?

HerperHelmz Apr 11, 2006 09:47 PM

My adult female hasn't eaten since 3/20... I know that doesn't seem like a long time, but I feed my kings every Thursday and she usually eats 3-4 weanlings each time. It's odd for her to not have a single bit of interest in a mouse... Or even a snake for that matter, and I was wondering if this is at all unusual...?

She lost alot of the fat she built up over the winter since I was power feeding her and didn't brumate her. She had good weight, probably weighed about a pound but has now lost most of that.

Well my male brooksi who usually is a pig has been very picky but that's not too surprising being mating season.

However, my big female corn has been only rarely interested in food since January! She hasn't really lost much body weight but man is she active. I did put her in a new cage, I just don't know. She's acting like a male this time of year. I try to take her outside each day to give her some fresh air to relax and stretch out.
