I saw the banana ball down below and I was wondering what other clown combos are in the works. Any websites of people working with them or anyone here have any good pics to show? Thanks for playing.

cool morph! I can't wait to see what a Piebald Clown looks like!

Frodo looks great! Seems like he really enjoys the natural sunlight too!!

Anyone have any updated info on Matt Turner's Piebald from his clown project years ago?

I don't even remember the details for sure any more. Seems like it was a het clown male to a normal (or was it possible het clown?) female that produced a piebald or something like that.

It got me wondering if clown and piebald could be alleles. Has anyone produced normal looking 100% double hets yet to be sure this isn't the case?

Clowns are now my favorite morph.
I want one...oh how I want one.

I have a 0.1 100% albino het, if I breed her with a 100% het clown what will be the offspring? Thanks!
Love them clowns!!

Clown is caused by a single recessive mutation (i.e. it's not a combination of mutations).

Since it's recessive, an animal needs to get a copy of the mutant allele/gene from both parents. In order to have a chance at producing clown you would need both the mother and father to be at least het for clown.

If you where to breed a het clown to a het albino the babies should all come out normal looking but be 50% chance het for each separate gene (25% chance double het for both).

Thanks for the pics. Clowns are high up on my list of favorite morphs, but for some reason I just dont think about them that often. Not sure if that even makes sense. If its possible to have a pied clown, I wonder how it would affect the pattern of the clown. I especially liked the pastel clown. Thanks again.
