At the last White Plains I picked up two gravid females..... I had bought one before in the past and got very poor results.... out of 7 eggs only one lone egg made it. The price was right at $100 a piece so I went ahead and got them.
The first female laid 7 eggs and 4 went bad within the first couple of days. The second laid a couple of days later. She gave me a strong clutch of nine....
I didnt pay much mind to the two clutches and the first clutch of 3 eggs went all the way to day 64 before I remembered..... I went into my incubator and pulled out the shoe box. Set it on the counter and opened the lid..... I stood there staring into the box for a good half hour trying to understand what I was looking at. There were two normals and an orange ghost in the bin...... I couldnt believe it..... this was by far the luckiest thing that has ever happened to me... .what are the odds? 3 eggs from a w/c female and I get a recessive morph...
The best part is they are all female.... so I went from having an adult w/c female to having an adult het ghost female... two poss het ghost females and a ghost female.... not bad for a hundred bucks huh lol...
