I wrote a thread the other day telling that my veiled lost his colours becoming mosty grey since I put him in his new large cage.At the beginning I wasn't paying much attention as I thought the new enviroment was the reason.I got several replies about that but it was Eric Adrignola's that got me worried saying that if his day colours are darker than his sleeping colours then something's wrong.Normaly I wouldn't pay much attention but since Eric guided me wisely in the past I thought I should investicate the subject rather than leave it alone. Here's some details,
The basking area is exposed to open air with the cover of the leaves being a bit futher away. When I pass infront of him he seems scared and trying to decrease his body surface or something,he then walks slowly to his hideout,a certain place in the shefflera where he immediately gains his colours. When he is asleep his colours become even more pale.
Also he lost his aggression towards me and he does not increase body surface, trying to claim territory.
So if these tell you anything please let me know
Thanks
