Help me choose one more! (pics)

LauraV Apr 12, 2006 06:16 PM

All my female hypos have finally shed out. Of the 4 I can only hang onto two. I think I have one picked out, but need help choosing the second. I need help, because I want them ALL for different reasons!! Please list pros and cons of each and why you chose the one you did. This will help me to further evalutate them. Thank you for any who reply to help me. If you need to see more pics to decide, let me know.

F-5 - this is one I want to hang onto because she is light and super clean.

Now the others...

F-1 - I like her because of her bright color, rich, fat saddles, and red between saddle tracking.

F-3 - I like her because of her deep, rich mullberry wine color - I think she will end up with the most color of all the babies.

F-4 - I like her because of her high contrast of light color and rich fat, aberrant saddles.

It is driving me crazy, for I just can't choose from between them. As much as I want to keep them all, I am not in a position to...so choose I must.

F-2 has a new home and my obligation to whom I got their mother from is finally paid in full, but I will post an updated pic of her when I get one. She is another super light and clean girl...

It's a toss up between F1&F3! I love the broken head stripe on F1, but F3 has the wicked eyelashes!! Both appear to be fairly similar in overall color! You have your work cut out for you Laura! I love baby season(Who Doesn't)and actually the female poss. super poss. anery hypo female I got form you in 02 is due today she was bred by a Coral albino male! Good luck with your decision!

the babies coming! I guess you won't be finding out about the anery yet, since she is being bred to a coral albino, but at least you'll know about the super part..Poss. dble het hypo snow...I figured to use the term "hypo snow" to keep from stepping on anyone's toes in the "name game"....but, despite my good intentions, watch me end up stepping on them anyway.

I like F-1's bright pink and F-3's purple pink...I wish I could hold onto them longer to see which will grow out nicer...it is just not in the cards right now.

colored. Since you are already keeping the lightest I would keep the most colorful also.

LauraV Apr 13, 2006 08:36 AM

Yes, I am leaning more towards F-1 or F-3 because I am keeping a light one...it's just hard to pass on F-4 huge, colorful saddles... I prefer fat saddles to fineline/thin saddles...
I appreciate your input.

I'd definitly stick with F5 and would pick out F4 if I were picking out of the group besides F5 of course..

I like F4's big pattern and clean looks.

I love her huge, fat saddles. Had her saddles been thinner, it would have made the choice easier, as I'd have gone for darker color, since I've already chosen a lighter one..but, nooo, it couldn't be that easy.

Always go with those first ones that stand out to you.. They jumped out at you in the first place for a reason...

They all look good either way so there's no real mistake...LOL...

Seems a couple of people like her best....I guess I figured most would prefer a fine line look over fat saddles. I, myself prefer the fat saddles, as I feel it gives the snake more color rather than less, but I thought I was in a minority over this. But, she does stand out with her lighter base and darker saddles.

I just love macro shots. Just wish I was a better photographer, because most turn out icky.

I love all your outdoor pics! I don't have the luxury of doing that. My house is in the unfortunate position of having the sun beat down on my front yard the whole day. Don't know how that happens...I bet my house just turns and moves with the sun...it sure seems so...all I get are washed out, yucky pics.

Thank you,

Yeah, she's a nice one alright...if only her color were lighter and she didn't have those neat red patches between the saddles...then I could just pass her by...but why should anything be that simple??

Those are my two choices

LauraV Apr 13, 2006 08:55 AM

I'm surprised by just how many chose F-4. Doggone...I want them all and it's not fair that I can't afford to keep them all. (sticking out lower lip and stamping foot in childish display)

Hi Laura,
All the babies are beautiful! It's really funny, but Rick and I picked the same one!!! We never agree on the snakes, which is why we end up with so many! I liked F-3, because she reminds me of Raggedy Ann, (love the facial markings). Rick liked her because she reminds him of a female version of Groucho Marks! Good luck, in your selection!! We always hate that part, that's why we just keep them all!!! LOL

--------to wait until their third or fourth shed. It has happened to me more than once that I chose to keep one, and then sell off the rest. Then down the road, I see one that ends up being way better than the one that I kept. Last years albinos that I had - I immediately picked one out, but kept the rest for a few more sheds. As it turned out, the one that I had originally picked at 1st, became my "next to last" pick by the 4th shed. I was blown away how the others changed so much.

You may see some changes as well that will cause you to favor certain ones over others - then your decision won't be so hard for you. Good luck, David

too...I just can't afford to hang onto them all right now. I owe people money to pay off other boogers and there is always that pesky car payment..so, I have to choose now, even though I know I may be passing on the one that turns out best.

F5 is my favorite and F1 is next because of her bright coloration. Good luck choosing, cause they're all nice.

Another for F-1 ...appears they will all by tied in the end...

I may just have to take the choice out of my hands by posting all three and keeping the last one remaining. I'll think on that.

choosing F-3 or F-4...talk about polar opposites.

I guess it was to much to hope for that everyone's internal compass would point towards a single animal. But, nonetheless, hope I did.
