Shedding problem, Help Hurry

reptiaaron Apr 12, 2006 10:44 PM

One of my leopard geckos has some dead skin around a couple of its toes I am having trouble getting it off. I tried to get it off one of the toes but it started to bleed does anyone have any suggestions, I would hate to hurt it anymore than I already did.

get something called shed-aid. they sell it at peto. whenever i had a problem it worked for me. you do need to get it off somehow how because the toe will die and fall off if the shed doesnt come off.

have you tried soaking your leo in some warm water before trying to pull off the skin?

i would recommend getting the shed aid as previously stated, and some q-tips. i spray the q-tip with shed-aid, and gently massage the toes with the q-tip. it can take a little while, but it works.
