A couple questions...

Kingofspades Apr 14, 2006 02:29 AM

Has anyone used the Big Apple Herps heat rope?
If so, did it work well?

I am building a makeshift rack out like the one in the picture, and I was thinking of drilling holes in the "shelving" unit and running the heat rope through it, that way it's not directly touching the boxes, so it won't get worn out.

Here is the premise of the rack I am building.

I'm most likely going to use 41 Qt. boxes, so the rack will hold 5 of them instead of ten 32 qt.
The rope would be running width wise instead of length like the heat tape in the pic.

I hope that it will work. Let me know if that will. I have 10 ball python ANd I use the same containers. Now I don't know much about heat rope or tape. I have my racks made out of wood. Do you think that would matter? Or what if I place the heat rope going from top to bottom on the back? Thanks Joe
