Taming Jaya Carpet

Hi,

I just received a jaya carpet snake and she is very nasty. She is approx 1 year old. Could anyone help me in the propoer way of taming her.

Ok I have been taking the snake out of her enclosure on a daily basis. She no longer snaps when I go to pick her up. I have been using a wooden ruler as a snake hook to lift her. She does freak a little. Once out of her enclosure she does not go to strike but does hiss a little. I am past wearing gloves and a jacket to hold her and I let her crawl on my skin. Would you say that she is on her way of being tamed? Also are females worse them males when it comes to being tame or are they all the same?
