Hi everyone, I'm new to these forums so I thought I'd say hello. And what better way than to share pictures of my favorite herp with you?
To give a little background, I've had Loki for about a year and a half now. I fell in love when I saw him at the pet store, and knew I had to take him home when I heard his story. He wasn't hatched at the pet store, rather someone showed up and left him there with his intestines protruding from his anus. The owner of the pet store who's performed many lifesaving procedures on herps managed to re-insert his guts. He was also the most beautiful animal I'd ever seen, so I promptly bought the little guy and took him home.
He just kept impressing me. I've never had a problem! He ate the very first time I tried feeding him, has never refused food, has never gotten sick, always sheds in one piece despite the extremely dry air in the hills of Hollywood, CA. He only bit me once, but it was my fault 100% and served as a great lesson for what NOT to do when feeding ('nuff said).
He's not any special morph, and I like it better that way. I think the natural coloration is the most impressive of them all, as nature and evolution were the artists. Here are some pictures of Loki! Enjoy!
