Do any of you with large enclosures notice a jump in your power bills from heating such enclosures?

I've noticed a jump on my bill altogether. About 30% her in NYC. Now i will really have to move.

If you maximize the efficency of your heating/ lighting it shouldn'r be a big deal.. My power including my snake room is less than $100 a month.. I use compact flourescent lights for the room (and in my house) and heat tape or other heat tape style undertank heaters. You could heat and light an 8ft enclosure for less than runing one 100 watt light bulb..

Ok thanks for the replys, My electric bill for last month was $185, We just had PG&E here checking the meter and unfortunatly they say its good, The little lady and I were talking about ways to conserve and that is where the subject came up.
