Thanks for all the info on feeding and conditioning the female dragon that has lost a lot of weight from laying that clutch( post from a few days ago). Well yesterday I found 10 slugs in her cage. This is what they looked like: yellow coloration, shaped like torpedos and soft. ( of course some were getting hard from drying out). So what causes the slugs? Is her calcium low, or should I investigate more possibilities? I have only had slugs once before in a WC Ball Python. So just thought I'd ask. She has gained 54 grams since 4/3/06 so I am feeling fairly good she will recoup but I want to check for parasites. She will get another fecal done tomrrow( I do my own using my microscope) I am a Vet tech for 20 years and this is something I am really good at having to do it daily in all those years). Before I got her I was told they treated her with Parazap weekly, I was given some when I got her but without instruction. Can someone tell me the dosage for Parazap? If it helps them do better, I 'd rather use this weekly to help without the harsh drugs. And if it works good I plan to buy more so any suggestions where the cheapest place to get it would be. I thought I would give it to all the other beardies here just for a boost up. And see how they do but if I find worms I also have Panacur Paste 10% and Doncit/ Drontal pill form that I can give if fecals come out positive for parasites. Also I have Ivermetic injectable but do not know if its safe in dragons. I asked this in a post below so you can answer it here or there. Plus I asked about the dosage for the Panacur Paste and droncit/drontal. TX Deb
