white line with cloudy eye

forkit Apr 15, 2006 10:27 AM

i just set up a 55 gallon terrarium with 2 white line geckos and 2 marble geckos, to start. they all at least appear to be female except one marble who is obviously a male.

just yesterday, seemingly very quickly since i watch each of them closely a couple times a day, one of the white line geckos developed a large, cloudy eye. it is so cloudy i can barely see his original pupil. it is larger than his other eye (which appears fine) and the skin around it is enflames a little.

what is this? i dont think any of them were fighting, they dont seem to even notice eachother. could it be an infection? i dont want to lose him

this is probally from a shed that heshe didn't shed completly, i had a viper gecko that had that and it was fatal. don't worry, this doesn't happen a lot, but i would suggest soaking him or putting him in a container and misting it. is this what it looks like?

its hard to tell from that picture but it appears much whiter and larger
