Spare a Thought for Western Australian

rbc Apr 15, 2006 11:11 AM

I would dearly love to keep some GTPs, but here in Western Australia (WA), our state government wildlife authority (CALM) does not allow the importation of any pythons from Eastern Australia into Western Australia. Imagine not allowing import from Washington to San Fransisco - well this is the kind of restriction we endure in WA). I read book about keeping & breeding Chondros, but it is just science fiction/fantasy here in WA. This is due to IBD paranoia. I hope that one day the WA government will allow me to keep Chondros in Western Australia. If not, I may have to move to Sydney.

Man, I'm glad we don't have that problem here in the US. We may have other problems, but being able to freely buy, sell and trade, cbb and wc animals is wonderful. Far more people can enjoy these beautiful animals for fewer dollars.
