Man this mornin i was cleaning up the reptile area, and i accidentally grabbed a burning hot 150 watt ceramic bulb...OUCH! It totally torched my hand.

Whats weird is that it was turned off for an hour (i think) and it still scorched me.

I know nobody who keeps chams uses bubls that strong, but be careful. IT REALLY HURTS!

hahaha, that has happened to me countless times! Sometimes i am trying to fix something ont he top of the cage and i am under the bulb and i lift the back of my neck up into it! now that hurts! oh, and be VERY carfeful with the 160 watt mercury vapor bulbs.....

Yeah anybody who has worked with lizards has been burned by a heat bulb many times....Ouch a mercury vapor on the back of your neck....bogus..

Ah well my hand feels better...just have tons of blisters...eek!

On the top of those near the base, they should have an LED light that tells if its on or off...

And the light would only turn off after it goes below a certain temperature.

I should invent things...

Yeah my hand is doin much better. Has lots of blisters all around the palm. Makes it much harder to type! LOL

Will I agree with you. Getting burned by any bulb hurts alot. The temperature idea you had sounds excellent! A little hard to make though!
