Mini fridge incubator update/pic

JDalbo Apr 15, 2006 01:05 PM

I'm at the 1/2 way point incubating my my first clutch. 6- 100% het Albino eggs. My incubator seems to be running great!! I gutted all the cooling parts but left the electrical for the light and built-in digital thermometer. I have a small 2" fan blowing up the rear and a slightly larger blowing at a slight angle down the front. The temperatures throughout are less than .5 degrees. The water bottles really help with heat loss once the door is opened. The temps are back up where they need to be in minutes. I'm using a Herpstat thermostat and 3 other thermometers to read temps throughout. Here's a pic.

Nice looking incubator, I like your water bottle idea, I always thought that would be a good plan for storing heat to help even out the highs and lows. Good luck with the eggs.
