That is a great tank. The plants you have, are they plastic? We cannot keep live plants as they are destroyed and eaten.
What type of fliter do you have? We have a small one right now but are looking to upgrade.
Your turtles look fantastic!

I see you have a placastomus (sp?) your turtles do not try to eat him?? I was sure mine would they are very much carnivors and eat fish, crikets and snails.

Hi, Thanks for the compliments on my tank. I try so hard to give my turtles the best environment possible. It's probably a bit small for the 4 of them, but I plan on upgrading soon after we move in a few months. Right now I have a Rena Filstar filter and a Cascade filter running. At one point the Rena wasn't working so I bought the Cascade as a backup until I got the other fixed. Now I just run them both...it keeps the water extra clean.

As for the plant...it's plastic. I know my turtles would eat real ones. They love their veggies! I've had a hard time keeping the plastic one in there until I got it wedged petty good underneath the river rocks I have in the tank.

As for the plecostamus (sp?) they have pretty much left him alone. They bite his fins every now and then but he heals up. I also have a few very smart feeder guppies in the tank and one extra super smart tiger barb. He (the tiger bard)survived two massacres. ( The turtles killed the first two tiger barb buddies he had and then just killed the other 2 replacement buddies of his the other day! Hopefully he'll survive for awhile...I really like tiger barbs.

I've put ghost shrimp in the tank...but they didn't last long....
