And here's one of my adults...

I've put up photos of this male before. The photos a little over-exposed but I don't have the photo-skills to fix it. Oh well.

Mandarins to me look like they have been dressed with "war paint" on their faces. Very cool.

Yeah, I've always wondered how an underground species benefits from a flashy paint job like the mandarins have. I'd love to know more about their home envirinment and habits.

John,

You've got a really nice collection there! That adult has amazing yellow on it's head and I really like your Sichuans from Moeller en Knight! Great job on putting such a nice and genetically diverse group together!

Regards,

Bert

P.S. Do you happen to have any stock from ProExotics and Karl Krumke perhaps? I'm particularly interested in seeing what Krumke's Sichuans look like...

Hi Bert:
Thanks for the kind words. I'm currently working with one South China line and in addition to Moeller and Knight I have stock from two other american breeders in addition to a long term wild caught that I got from a friend.

I have not gotten any stock from Pro-Exotics or Karl Krumke but they both have very nice lines. They both have websites that show the breeders.

Best regards
John
