Is a 24"L X 18"H X 16"D to small for a full grown California Kingsnake?
thats about what i have mine in but i also have no room for cages so i use a rack. Its fine unless you feel like you should go bigger. It also depends on the size of the snake obviously a 4 or 5 foot snake wouldnt fit in it but a 1-3 foot snake should.

Hey, fellow pilot
.... Where do you get such nice and crystal clear tubs? Your rack looks great!

That is were i got my racks and it came with the tubs...I ordered all adult sized tubs and went to smart and final and (ok this sounds bad lol) got food tubs of different sizes (the same aczact ones that it came with). So i basicly got them at smart and final. these are really strong tubs ive droped them on cement and nothing happend but they also arnt cheap.

The two snakes with red are both Mt kingsnakes? They look a bit different but both are fantastic looking thats why I ask.
the one on the left is a arizona mtn king and the one on the right is a california mtn king.
okay thanks
NICE RACK!
I'm a proponet of larger caging for adult kingsnakes than what is normally seen in the hobby. 360 sq inches of floorspace is the absolute minimum I use anymore for any adult Cal king, but I prefer 400 plus sq inches. I think there are noticeable benefits by going larger, a wider temperature gradient being one of them. You can also have a humidity gradient and room for multiple hides. All good things with which to see how your captives behave.

I'm new to the hobby, so I can't state anything authoritatively. However, I'm very happy with a 55 gallon aquarium. The dimensions are 48L x 13D x 18H. If he wishes, my guy can stretch to his full length. I can also give him a wider range of temperatures. If I make a mistake in my temperatures, there's a better chance that he can find a spot where he's happy.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.
