my easter sucked (funny picture at end)

all week my neck, jaw and ear have been giving me problems. my mom said that maybe my TMJ was getting worse because i sounded alot like my cousin who had it. anyway, all week i have been in pain. so i wake up today and nothing is really hurting and i am so excited. i watched the kids open their baskets, took some silly photos of the lizards and then went to brush my teeth.

one of those awesome stretches was approaching, you know the kind that make you moan really loud and then cracks your back. well mid-way through the stretch, this pain, much like a knife stabbing me through the place where your neck, shoulders and back all come together, paralyzed me. i instantly start crying from the pain. i didn't even know if i could get out of the bathroom.

hunched over i go to my parents room and cry to them. they would try to get me to move and i would scream and cry some more. they gave me some muscle relaxer and bought me a heating pad. i fall asleep for four hours hoping the kinks will work their way out.

well when i woke up, i tried to get up and couldn't. then my dad tried to help me up and i just screamed. so they wake up my sister and man if she didn't know how to get me up easily. they really do teach nurses stuff!

so i am still crying and just wanting to die, so angie takes me to the ER. we were hoping it would not come to that since i have no insurance nor a job, but i just couldn't take it anymore.

from what we can gather, we think that since i was hunched over studying for so long and then the release of stress since the test is over with, my back decided to have continuous spasms.

so at the ER they give me an 800 mg ibuprofin, loratab and flexeril, a muscle relaxer. by the time i leave the ER, the meds were working because i could move more than a centimeter without screaming and crying. i also have to take all three of these meds for the next five days or so.

my last treatment is in the picture below, it is to prevent my head from moving too much and to keep the muscles in the area warm. personally, i think while i was getting x-rayed, my sister payed the doctor to prescribe this.

I'm not sure if you believe in them or perhaps are afraid of them but go to a chiropractor. I was raised around the medical profession with my father being a chiropractor, they do wonders for a person. Rather than relying solely on the meds try a chiropractor out, my suggestion.

If you wanted to pay $5.00 each for Ibuprofen, you should have let me know :O) I hope you're feeling better. Look at it this way...you have a good traveling pillow now.
