useing a photo editing program to edit out the black? Just wondering because there are "odd shadows" in some of the pics. In anyeven they are great shots, and even better snakes. Im going to need to give velvet a try.

yes, i used photoshop on a couple of them to black out the shiny spots of the velvet. Can you see a shadow? I get lucky with the exposure alot the time and get a complete black background without editing. I was wondering how they would show up on other monitors and resolutions. Thanks for the feedback

its not so much a shadow as a lighter area thats not solid black. When im doing that photoshop, I like to copy, and then paste onto a new black background then just deleat everything around the subject. If you use the brush tool for the eraser and work just beside the snake you can get a pretty good finished result.

For this pic I copied the whole image, then converted to grey scale. then reverted back to color, and pasted a new color layer. then i just deleated everything but the GTP. Same idea diffrent application.

That last one looks like a ghost on my monitor, with a red tinge to the saddles on the tail. Great pics!
