racer i caught

caught a 5 footer here in massachusetts yesterday, thing was pissed. bit me a couple times and drew some blood. it hissed and stood its ground for a while. heres a link to the pic i took of it. i didnt harm it if you were wondering, just scared it out of its rocky area took some pics and put it back after a few minutes.

just curious, has anyone seen a northern black that was as big as 6 feet? i think a little over 5 feet would probly be the biggest ive seen around here. thanks

Conant and Collins (1998) give the record lenght for the Northern Black Racer as 73 inches - thats 5 ft 1 in.
So if you should come across a 6 footer you have a potential new record!
