Hi.. last night I saw my female kleinmanni lay an egg. It was a little passed midnight and both of my tortoises were still awake. I decided why not just give them some food since I am up as well as my tortoises. So I come back with food. I pick both of them up and place them infront of the food. I noticed the female's tail became larger... I figured she's gonna pee. However, she picks her rear up and her tail out all the way. Then slowly by little... I began to see a little white white round sphere. Wow I thought to myself... could this be another egg??? After perhaps 10 minutes.. the egg was laid and she walks back to her corner underneath the lamp and rests. The male during this time was active and walking around the female. I guess he was as nervous as I was. After she went to sleep... the male came by and sniffed the egg, or poked it with his nose. He then also went back to sleep underneath the lamp right besides the female. Right now I have the egg still laying in the pen. The first egg was laid June 2. Its currently, I think, still being incubated by Brendan Kelley, who is also a fellow kleinmanni owner who lives near me. I haven't talked to him in a while... but I hope to do so soon. Will update hopefully soon...
