how to get FedEx certified....

wisema2297 Apr 17, 2006 03:55 PM

Tried to call FedEx to get info on shipping reptiles and how to get certified. Was transfered to livestock desk and of course a voicemail answered and said reptiles are not accepted. Is FedEx getting away from shipping reptiles or is this message the standard answere for the average customer that is not FedEx certified?

You need to contact your local fed-ex office and have a sales rep contact you about getting your shipping boxes certified. There is a for to fill out and you have to send one of your shipping boxes to Nashville to be to be certified, they do several different test on your shipping box.The whole process only took about a week for me ,I live in Florida.I hope this helps,Terry Maheuron

Unless they have changed their policies, their requirements are that you ship to businesses only. If a customer isn't comfortable having the reptile shipped to their work, I ship to the Fed Ex office to be held for pick up. Not sure if this is what they intended but they are a business .
