chameleon acting weird

I have a baby veild and sometimes when she walks around the cage she walks/climbs around with her mouth open...is this a problem and why is she doing this?thanks guys.

Mike, you need to recheck your temperatures. Measure, with a digital thermometer; the basking spot, the ambient day time temperature, and the ambient night time temperature.

That is very likely a way for her to cool down. It might be too hot.

they gape in order to cool down (like a dog panting or humans sweating) but should only being doing it occasionally and when he is basking. Do you notice anything else? noise? clicking sound? see any stringy mucus in mouth?
