Kayuadi Tree Python??

vakejairam Jul 29, 2003 10:34 PM

Just Kidding...

This is a pic of my Kayuadi retic. Her colors are starting to show with each shed. She has a tendency to coil up on branches...

When I first got her she was no more than 16-18 inches long. Now she's a hefty 24-27 inches

Hope you like the pic...

How do they compare to the superdwarf/jampea's in size and temperment?

As of now, she's a lot smaller than the super jamps. I can't imagine her being the size of the super jamps. I think the Kayuadis are the true dwarfs.

Out of all my boas/pythons, she has the best personality...if snakes have personality
She's never ever made an attempt to strike at me. The super jamps are good 99.9% of the time. My super jamps attempted to strik at me when I tried to take them out of their enclosures. But from what I understand, retics can be temperamental in their enclosures. Once their out, they are fine.

Due to her awesome personality, I tend to take her out more often.

Hi Vake,
"True Dwarf" What do you mean by that? Your Super Jamp is almost a year old and your Kayuadi was hatched this year. How could you make a determination that the Kayuadi must be the "true dwarf" by comparing a sample size of "1" and comparing one that is almost a year old to a hatchling? I agree that the Kayuadis are Dwarfs, but how could you make the determination that it will be smaller than the Super Jamp by comparing a yearling to a baby and saying that because the baby is smaller, it must be the "true dwarf"? All of the feedback that I have received from my customers about the Super Jamp has been very positive. Many tell me that it is their favorite snake and that they have the calmest best personality of any retic. This has also been my experience with the ones that I kept. Not to mention the nice color.
