I'm very very jealous of all your eggs lol

I'd like to know how many eggs a gecko will produce from one mating? I would really love to have a pair breed at least once oneday and i'd love to know how many babies to expect.

Congrats to everyone who has successfully hatched babies!!! I envy all of you

From a single mating, a leo can produce up to 12 clutches, or 24 eggs. This is uncommon though, most make it to around 7 or 8 and stop. I'd say around 14-16 eggs, but not always will all of them hatch/make it. Hope this gives you an idea,
Mac

7-8 clutches usually would be a 2nd or 3rd year breeder. for a gecko who is 1st year, its more likely to be 5 - 6 clutches.

Hi,
They only need to mate once a year. The female stores the sperm and will keep reproducing. The female will have 2 eggs in most cases maybe 1 and rarely 3. Hope it Helps, R.J.

Thankyou for replying

I guess i won't be breeding geckos for a very long time. I do have quite a few tanks set up and all but i don't want to crowd them should i end up with more hatchlings then i can handle Currently i don't even have a pair that could breed (still looking) but if i do find them (most likely at the Toronto show) i'll be happy just to have them. I have a 36"x12"x12" tank for the male and i'm setting up a 40 gallon for any females i get, hopefully three of differing morphs. I live with my family right now due to a huge breakup of my engagement...and trying to find an appartment with a small dog and geckos is impossible lol so i'm holding out to buy a house....going to be a long wait mind you..........*pout*

Thankyou all for the feedback.
