PetCo cutie

I purchased this possible hypo tangerine at PetCo.I say possible, because I'm waiting for her to shed again and see how many spots are left. Every once in awhile you can find something other than normal/aberrant. She recently shed out in the pic (you can tell how dark black her tail spots are), so the spots she does have on her back appear to be fading. Here's to crossing my fingers that she'll go super hypo. Hey,whether feasable or not - I can hope, can't I?? The pic isn't the greatest, but she has a nice orange-tang color to her. Her next shed will decide if I hang onto her or not.

wow, she is beautiful but, a morph at petco... i cant imagine what you paid for her, even there normals are usually over 100$.

only $25 on sale - She was still considered a baby. The adults there ran $69 or so. I can't even imagine $100 for a normal adult!

Petco gets their leopard geckos from Gourmet Rodent. Bill sends a mix of whatever is laying around including: normals, jungles, tangerine, hypo-tangerines, super hypo-tangerines, patternless, albinos and even tangerine and carrot head albinos. These are the morphs that I have personally witness there for $30 (on sale for $25). Heck, I even broke my own rule about adding to my colony and purchased for $25 a possible carrot-head tangerine albino from the local Petco. The animal is under strict quarantine, but is looking awesome with a bright orange head.

Anyway, yes, you can find animals that are $100 animals there. It just all depends on what Bill sends them.

LOL! I know what you mean! I gave in and bought an albino from there. All I had seen were normals at my local store and this little albino is the tamest hatchling I've ever held. 2 1/2 inches long and climbs onto my hand...it awes me every time!
