i have a chain king, and hes in a custom cage. however, ive seen that a lot of people keep their snakes in those sweater boxes. how does one do this as far as heating and lighting requirments? im looking into a nice florida king hatchling, and would be interested to try the sweater-box approach- at least until the snake is bigger and i build another custom jobby-do. thanks.

Generally their used in a rack type system and heat is provided with flexwatt heat tape, either ran down the back of the rack or using a router to make a groove on the shelf they sit on for the flexwatt to go into, so the sweater box doesn't catch on the flexwatt when you slide the box in and out. Usually the lighting is just the regular lighting in the room. If you do a search you should be able to find plans for these racks. Take care, Scott.
