Good frozen rodent suppliers?...

-ryan- Apr 18, 2006 12:06 PM

Well, since my last mouse exploded yesterday (story below...very gross...won't make that mistake again!) I went to the local reptile shop to get more. It's always been kind of hit or miss there as far as getting what you want. I wanted some small mice, about 1" in diameter, and all the guy had were crawler mice, which are a little small for my ball python. I figure he'll need 4-5 of these a week to be satisfied!

So where can I find a good supply of frozen rodents via the internet?

Whereever you decided, just ensure they vacuum seal their rodents. This does make a difference.

I use The Mouse Factory www.themousefactory.com/ and have been very pleased with their product, availability and delivery - by far tops over some of the others.

Good people, Great Product. Vacuum sealed and clean, clean, clean. Did I mention how clean they are? Give them a try. You'll be pleased.

Rodent pro has been very good to us. They are having a big sale this week. Hopper mice $.19/ weanlings $.29 /Adults $.35.
Great quality, only thing is they dont vacume pack them, we use ours up in about 2 months so its noy that bad a problem for us.

I will second Rodent Pro. I've been using them for the past 2 years and they (namely Casey) have been nothing but a pleasure to work with. Always on time, always arrive frozen, and when there was one problem with sizes (some of the medium's they sent didn't fall in the range they stipulate), they immediately credited my account when I brought it to their attention. Their prices are some of the best around and their quality is second to none. Like others said, it would be nice if they vacuum sealed them, but since I rarely meet their 500 animal price break limit, it doesn't matter whether I buy two boxes per month or 6 boxes at once.

I've used Big Cheese Rodent Factory once, and I was happy with what I received.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.
