Hi everyone. My name is Helen and I am from the UK so feed dead frozen food (thawed obviously). I need your help. We have had Bob our kingsnake for 7 years, he is around 4 - 4 and a half feet in length. On new years eve 2004/5 he escaped and we didn't find him again until May 2005 by which time we had thrown his vivarium away as our puppy had eaten all the wood from the sides of it. He seemed fine, just thin and cold. He has never been a big eater, he would only eat one, 2inch mouse (which is quite small for a snake his size I would say) a month at some points in his life, typically, you would probably get him to eat two, 2inch mice a month and has always been a bit on the thin side. We put him in a "temporary" 2 and a half foot vivarium which unfortunately due to financial issues he was in until earlier this month when we bought him a new 5 foot vivarium, new heatmat, light, climbing branches, hide, water dish, the whole shebang!
Since he has been in the new vivarium (which he has been in for around 2 weeks), he has been eating two, 2inch mice a day and still looks for more! Is this OK for him or is it too much? He seems very happy and is constantly active and looking for food. Should I be feeding him as many mice as he will take or should I ration him? I think he is stil quite thin for a snake of his size and age but dont want to overfeed him if that is possible. Should I carry on feeding him the same size mice or do I increase the size of his prey to satisfy him more?

Thanks in advance for all your help.
