egg humidity problems

bluetreefingers Apr 18, 2006 07:54 PM

my leo gecko eggs have been in the incubator since april 6, a week later i realized the humidity at which i had them was too high, so i replaced the perlite with dry perilite, which i sprayed very little, and added a deli cup with water on the side.

now i dont know it it is too dry...

is there a ratio i can use to do this? i have seen one that requires a gram scale which i dont have.
is there an earier method to do this?

thanks
aaron

.8 grams of water to wach 1 gram of perlite.

I am not an expert, but I do use Ron Tremper's mixture ratio. (6:4)
I realize you do not have a scale, so I weighed everything out and then converted to measurements that might be helpful for you.

It turned out to be 8 ounces (1 cup) dry perlite to 22.5 ml of water.

I got my first set of eggs on Monday and was unsure of myself, so I emailed Ron Tremper and he reassured me that I was doing things right. I really hope this helps you.
