I had some years ago they used to eat small anoles.
You might try any small lizard. I never tried worms but they are worth a try. Buddy.

8" isn't that tiny for a night snake...

Firstly where was it obtained?

A AZ night snake is more likely to eat lizards/snakes than a CA Night Snake that might have a preference for frogs or salamanders.

Any of those prey items will likely work. The night snakes I've had would mainly take the snakes I offered.

The nightsnakes here in Utah are around 12" full grown. They are around 4" when born. The adults eat side blotch lizards without a problem, and the babies will eat juvenile lizards.
