How common is it for gravid female boas.

reptimals Apr 19, 2006 02:12 AM

to not go off feed at all?? i witnessed about 10 long term breedings at my place .. all my males are done already and only about "two" females are acting gravid .. and yes they are all big enough to breed and old enough and many have bred before ... its just most are eating as normal now and arent coiling like they are gravid on hot spots and so on .. is that common in anyway?

It can be hit or miss.. Just treat them as if they were gravid and hope for the best. If you can't wait take them to a vet and have an ultrasound done.

It's not uncommon to have that many females not take, but they don't all act the same when they are gravid.
