belly update

Well, we just got back home, and he was running around his cage happy as could be. First he inhaled a clover flower, right out of my hand. Then I put in a plate of dandelion greens and he went to town. He must have been hungry!
The temperatures here have been higher lately, in the high 60's and 70's, and his energy level has risen immensely. It must have just been too cold.
He seems more himself today.
Thanks everyone.

Um, it's 60s and 70s in the cage? Uros need basking spots of access of 120ºF. That might be why he is acting weird. Read the care on www.deerfernfarms.com

no no no....
it's been in the 60's and 70's FOR NORTHERN INDIANA the last couple of days. WE had a stretch of cooler, rainy weather last week (in the 50's) and my husband is notorious for opening windows and leaving them open in the house. It was cold in the tank because it was cold in the house. Our house is at 75 degrees now, so the tank is maintaining better temps because it's not fighting with the outside weather!
sorry about the confusion...
NEVER 60 in the tank! ha ha!
it only gets down to 80-85 in the tank, even at night!
thanks though

Alli,
If at all possible, you might want to somehow lower those night temps. I allow my enclosures (now up to 14 uros) to drop to 70 degrees at night. Uros need this 'down time' which mimics the temps in their natural enviroment. If you have any infared heat lights, I would suggest turning them off at night and letting the temps drop. I live in Illinois which is not too far from Indiana. The temps in my enclosures drop to 70 on their own so I would think this would be possible for you to also achieve.
