I'm a clown morphfiend

markalan Apr 19, 2006 12:34 PM

Out of all of the morphs that are out there I like the clowns most of all. Aside from just saving the money to buy one that I like I'd like to breed up to a clutch.
I currently have three BP's a male albino a 100% female het and a male pastel. What would be my best purchase or trade strategy so that I can conjure up a clown clutch with what I have?
Thanks herpazoids!!

Welcome to the club...

First question - how married are you to the albino and pastel projects? Would you be willing to trade in your albino for 1.1 het clowns?

Second question - how big are your current animals? Will they breed next season?

Third question - do you want to work with clowns or just have one in you collection? (Maybe this should have ben the first question).

I'm not a breeder or do I see me being one in the near future. I just know what I like. I'm not married to my Albino but I don't want to part with him.
He's my first morph (purchased from Repticulture in San Jose CA), but who's to say what I like. It all depends on what catches my eye. I'm a very unpredictable BP owner

Dude, you are male heavy and female shy.

You need females to breed your pastel to. You need females to breed your male albino to in order to produce female hets, or you need to buy female hets.

Buy females intelligently, raise them well, and in two years you will be trading some of your offspring for a group of het clown females. The year after you can trade/sell your new offspring for an unrelated clown male.

Best wishes.
