What would cost more to run, heat tape or a human heating pad? N/P

Determine the wattage rating of each. Everything else being equal, the heater which draws the lowest wattage will be the cheaper to use. Just like a 25 watt light bulb would be cheaper to operate than a 100 watt bulb. Same principle.

Thanks for your reply. Ok, so I already knew that part, I was just being lazy and was hoping that someone already knew the wattage of each one and could do the math for me. Then too, if they could tell me if the heat tape, which I found out comes in a 6 and 11 watt size, is 6 and 11 watts for each foot used or what? Thanks in advance.

I love these forums!
