Here is my tank set up...I know it's a bit small for all of them, but they will be upgraded to a 120 or larger very soon!

Very nice setup. Couple of questions though. Are you using a Mercury vapor basking lamp? If so are you shining through the glass top or is it shining directly onto the basking area.

If you are shining it through the glass top it blocks all the UVB radiation.

Just hard to tell in the picture. Tank is beautiful as are you turtles.

The UV lamp is on top of a screen top for the entire tank. I have a cat that is VERY interested in the turtles and cannot go without the screen. There is no glass on top...I am aware that UV cannot penetrate glass...I had an iguana at one time. I had to re-home him due to aggression toward females. I was the primary caregiver and after his 1st breeding season he would not allow me near him. However, he tolerated my husband. Now he's with a young man that takes wonderful care of him and his aggression has pretty much disappeared! You can see a few pics of him in my gallery here on kingsnake. He is beautiful. I miss him, but not his attitude!
