silly question about bull snakes

phantoms Jul 30, 2003 01:23 AM

i was talking to someone online and they were convinced that in montana and possibly western nebraska that bull snakes were breeding with rattlesnakes. pretty sure there is no truth to that or that it is even possible, but wanted to have some other peoples opinions on that. basically, sounds like a myth to me

that bats are breeding with jackrabbits and now there is a flying population of jackrabbits.

Sounds like someone was pulling your leg. Either that or they are smoking something stronger than Marlboros.

That bulls snakes lay eggs and rattlers have live birth. Let them know that once their cat to breeds with their parrot the bull and rattler crossing should evolve shortly afterwards.

LMAO!!!! I crack myself up sometimes - Del

bullrattler is closer than we thought. Put me on the list for a pair of your catparrots. LOL. Actually this thread should be on the hybrid forum.

lay eggs with half the neonate sticking out? Is it half venomous? Maybe one fang only. Which side of the mouth? Just asking some questions.

Old legend... although sometimes it's a ratsnake. I think it comes from their habit of rattling their tails when disturbed. The 'pilot snake' legend is a good one too.
