hawiiangecko Apr 19, 2006 08:10 PM

what do you think i should get? it would be for a boaphile rack i'm getting(the 30 piece one) and my 2 adults if it had enough wattage to stand it. if not, i could always buy another.
i was looking at the one sold on the boaphile, and the helix 1000 i believe its called. any suggestions?

Herpstat proportional thermostats.

Helix DBS1000
or
Herpstat

My Helix does a better job of keeping a constant temp. than my herpstats. But the Herpstats have a more exact reading (tenths place), probes are easily changed, has an optional night drop feature, and records high and low temps. Plus Herpstats are cheaper.

I got 4 helix DBS 1000s a few months back and don't know how I ever kept snakes without them. I also really like the night drop feature you can add.

I have been trying to make up my mind between big apple's proportional or the helix one. I am leaning towards the big apple one but I would love to know more about both and the herpstat.
Thanks in advance,
Caden
