Here's a pic of my White-oak Grey rat. Eats like a typical obsoleta.

Nice looking snake. I used to think they were very hyper and nippy but reading about them . I see they arent .
Are they are one of the most arboreal rats ?

Thank you. Grey Rats do like to climb, and will take advantage of a setup that allows them to do so. The obsoleta rats, (grey rat, black rat, etc) are some of the more arboreal rats in North America then compared to, cornsnakes, emory rats,
Trans Peco rats, etc.
Some grey rats can be a bit defensive as babies, and some can be very calm. Mine has been very laid back from day one. He pretty much eats right out of my hand.

I must say that is a very nice snake. Thanks for the info. I have been eyeing them and wanted to find out if arboreal because thinking of trying to make or having made a high type cage with thick branches .

Thanks again
