Looky what I found. I don’t keep Amphibians anymore but love to photograph them, I was in Calaveras County California in the WestPoint area this past Monday and found this little one under a piece of wood. I used it to educate a few kids that were around, Let the kids hold it and feel it then photographed it and let it go, The last picture you can see it crawling back under its wood. Can anyone I.D. This species for me? I thought at first it was a California Newt but after closer inspection I don’t think it is. Thanks in advance and enjoy the pictures.
