Housing Leopard geckos

BRITTANY23 Apr 20, 2006 11:25 AM

I have 6 leopard geckos right now. 3 males and 3 females. Each pair is in a 20 gallon long aquarium. I have a "nesting box" that is a tupperware container with moist moss as well as a rock cave for them. I was wondering were I should keep these. The tanks are heated with unertank heaters. Should I put the nesting box over the heat pad or the caves? they seem to use the caves more than the nesting boxes.Does it matter were I put these things or will they stay were they are most comfortable?

maybe you could experiment with each cave and each tank to see what they like the best. just a thought but if there is a way to put the cave and the box half way on the heat pad, that would probably be the best.

I would put the moist hide on the heat pad. And, I you should get another dry hide and put one one the heat pad and one on the cool side, so they can have their choice
