How come there aren't more.....

Bolivian crosses? I know it's frowned on to do certain crosses like mixing bci x bca and so on, but there is always someone out there doing it. Like the ball python breeders, those guys will breed just about anything. Just curious to know if there there will be any albino bolivians, or pastel bolivians in the future. Maybe something with crossing the genetics? I don't know. Just curious.

I recently saw in the classifieds I beleive a BCIxBCA cross. My best guess as to why BCC is more readily being crossed with BCI mutations is because of color. As we all know the majority of the color from these snakes is in the tail and with BCA having short tails it is not as impressive as a cross with big beautiful tails like BCC. This is only my theory but it makes some sense to me.

You're right about the tail thing but crossing a albino to a silver back might be the first step to a albino that does'nt turn yellow. I bet somebody has already started the project

Thats possible and might pan out, but I would think the silver would be created from melanin which would be absent in the albino form. I guess well have to just wait and see if someone goes that rout.

Here is a picture of my Blonde Bolivian amarali, an '03 girl from Barry Miller. She will be paired up with my OC male from Kevin Barnett to increase color, while keeping them pure. It will be a pedigree breeding.

Gabor Kaminski in Poland has some incredibly colored PURE amarali.

The OC, you can see the LACK of black in his side medalions.
