what do you guys and gals think are better pets as far as intereaction and enjoyment level- bearded dragons or leopard geckos??? (money is no object as far as set ups) i have many leopard geckos and they took a week to convince my parents to let me get them. now i am looking into bearded dragons and i am very intrigued (sp). i think they look awesome and they sound great! i need some help convincing my parents that they are though. they don't like the idea of a 2 foot lizard in the house! i am looking for some help and some ways to help me try to talk my parents into this. can anyone help??? if i do get a bearded dragon and am looking into breeding in the future, what color morph should i get??? i like the reds, but i like the lavenders too! opinions please??? thanx for the help and the time!!

I have over 70 pets right now. 11 of them being leopard geckos and 13 of them being bearded dragons. Leopard geckos , although beautiful in their own right, have dull personalities compared to beardies. Leos just sit there. Beardies are pretty active for a reptile. they run around and are fun to watch hunt crickets. not to mention each one has its own unique personality. I believe beardies can recognize their owners too. They feel more comfortable around their owners compared to other people. You can also take beardies for walks on ferret leashes or reptile harnesses. You cant even think about that with a leo. If you have a pair you get to watch all the interactions. head bobbing, armwaving and eventually courtship. if you want to breed something beardies dont have 2 eggs like leos. Just be prepared to take care of a dozen or two baby dragons. Anyway bearded dragons definitly have my vote hands down! need any more advice feel free to ask. I'll include a couple pics too. I love my beardies so much i took my old male in for my senior pics! Go ahead laugh all you want.
peace,
nathan

I have 3 small children ranging from 3 years old to 9 years old and they handle all of my Beardeds daily. I have adults and babies and none of them has ever so much as looked at my children wrong. They are generally very sweet natured and really seem to enjoy the attention.

Hope this helps

They can email me if they want to.
