Is this tank a good design? what else?

etaNcixelsyD Apr 20, 2006 04:10 PM

I drew up a quick plan of how i want my leopard gecko tank to be. Does this look good? is there anything else i need? any suggestions? i plan on using large rocks or tile for substrate. Also, which end should be the hot end (i just threw the light in for what i think, not nesesarily where its going) and where shuold the moist hide be? thanks for your help!

i forgot to mention, the tank is three feet long and 12.5 inches wide, 16 inches tall. That should give you some perspective.

I don't see a moist hide listed... that's really critical. It should be lined with moist moss, or at least damp paper towels. They need it to shed properly.

Otherwize, It looks good. You might want to leave an open corner on the cool side. They tend to poop in one spot and you'll want that spot to be easy to clean.

I use three hides. One regular type on the warm side, and other regular one on the cool side and then a moist hide on the warm side.
