I just got a horned frog recently and am currently housing it in a half and half tank. the water is being filtered and have 2 snails and fidler crabs ( i declawed the crabs) to help out cleaning the water and the frog is not bothered by the snails or crabs and they do not bother the frog. I was just wondering if there is anything else i should be doing to help this fat little guy out. He seems happy and is more active than any other horned frog i have seen. i am also concidering getting small ghost shrimp to also clean the water part of the tank.

if you have fiddler crabs in the same enclosure as your pac man either the frog or the crabs arent being cared for properly, aside from the fact that it is morally questionable to cut the claws off a pet just so you can put them in with another animal, fiddler crabs are brackish water crabs not fresh and will weaken and die after any significant amount of time in fresh water. either your pac man will suffer because of the brackish water or they will because of the fresh water, you need to move them into seperate enclosures as soon as possible otherwise you are deliberately compromising the health of your pets, here is a link to a fiddler crab care sheet for you, http://www.elmersaquarium.com/10fidderlercrab.htm.
ghost shrimp is a much better idea.

i realised that actually sounded quite harsh as i know fidler crabs are often sold as fresh water crabs in shops so its probably not your fault, dont get me wrong either your set up sounds great and the shrimp and snails are a good idea but the fiddlers need their own seperate enclosure. sorry for coming across a bit blunt.

I do not think this set up is a good idea, as eventually the frog will eat all of your crabs, shrimp, and whatever else you put in there. Pacman frogs have to be kept by themselves. They eat anything and everything that they can. Pacman frogs also do not need an elaborate water area, a shallow dish is best as they are not very good swimmers. They like to dig in moist soil, and lunge at food. They are not very social with other creatures, so I would get him out of your tank as soon as possible.
