Got home last night an found a great little surprise, one egg from a clutch of 5 had pipped. Had to set up a tank super quick and then went to bed.
Got up this morning and this is what I found.







This is my first ever lepidogaster, unless Jobi is right and it is crucigera, hatchling. Hatched out at 158 days. One month ahead of what I had expected! Egg #2 was pipped this morning so I expect to see baby #2 when I get home tonight.
Baby #1 weighed in at 1 gram. I didn’t measure the length but you can see from him on my hand that he is a tiny little mite of a thing. Quite a tank though compared to the capra hatchlings.
I am so used to the capra babies that are so long and thin when they hatch. This is awesome!
