Hatchling racks?

Sardoniccheese Apr 20, 2006 11:00 PM

I just got a hatchling rack that has 5.4qt tubs in it, and I was wondering what you guys put in yours. Like what do you use for a humid hide and what not?

Hatchling racks can be set up similar to adult racks.... But for the first couple of days, keep hatchlings on damp paper towels.... Here is one of my rack setups....

For baby geckos, I use paper towel for substrate and I take a small planter bottom, cut a hole in it, flip it upside down, and keep the paper towel under it moistened, I use this until they are about a month old, then they get a tupperware with moistened long fiber peat moss or Bed-A-Beast inside it

It is a 15 draw sweater box rack from boaphile plastics.... Their Rhino Raxx are the best.... I have 3 of them....

This is a 12 quart sterilite. I keep it simple...

2 hides, 1 water dish, 1 food dish.
Sometimes I have an extra supplement dish for calcium.
Obviously paper towels, and extra paper towels in the moist hide, which gets sprayed every few days.

Hope this helps.
